Alphee Liliane Strand, 82, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, at her home in Bandera, Texas. She was born in Paris, France to Martin and Renee Pesch on November 14, 1943. She spent the majority of her childhood in Africa where she attended boarding school.
Alphee married Allan Mark Strand in Butzbach, Germany on April 23, 1966. When Allan was deployed to Vietnam, Alphee moved to the United States. The couple loved to travel and lived in various parts of the country before ultimately settling in Port Aransas, Texas where she graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a master’s in education. She enjoyed a long career at TAMUCC as their Degree Coordinator and helped countless students develop their career path.
Upon retirement, Alphee and Allan moved to their beloved ranch in Bandera, Texas. It was here that Alphee got involved in Grace Lutheran Church and touched the lives of many in the community. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, quilting, driving for Meals on Wheels, and spending time with her kids, granddaughter, and church family. She was involved in multiple charitable organizations and had a soft spot for children and animals.
Alphee is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Allan Mark Strand; her parents, Martin and Renee Pesch; and her brother, Bruno Pesch. She is survived by her son, Erik (Kelsey) Strand; her daughter, Alisha Strand; her brother, Michel (Harriet) Pesch; and her granddaughter, Cadence Mueller.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church. Internment to follow.
