Amber Joan Louise (Rosati) McGill-Morrison, age 77, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with stage 4 breast cancer. Amber was born on September 6th, 1948, in Gardena, CA to Adrian and Mirella Rosati, of Italy. She was a 1966 graduate of Gardena High School. Amber resided in Bandera, TX with her loving husband, Lawrence Michael.

From a young age, Amber was spirited and independent. She developed a love for sports and enjoyed playing tennis as an adult. Amber was a talented artist and enjoyed working on hand-made a gifts. Her hobbies included gardening, art, dancing, volunteering, sports, sewing, reading, attending church, caring for her children and husband, and taking care of her dogs and chickens. Amber was an active member of Christ Chapel, in Bandera, TX, and cherished the fellowship of the church members. Her compassion was seen and felt by everyone around her.

During her lifetime, Amber worked aboard a cruise ship, as a Legal Secretary, as a Substitute Teacher at the children’s schools, and as a Realtor. Her adventures lead her to reside in Santa Monica, CA, Honolulu, HI, Calabasas, CA, El Paso, TX, San Antonio, TX, and Bandera, TX. Amber also briefly lived in Italy while attending fashion school. Her smile and fun-loving spirit will be deeply missed in all the milestones to come.

Amber is survived by her loving husband of 4 years, Lawrence Michael; her children, Karen and Grant (Shelby), of Jacksonville, FL and San Antonio, TX, respectively; her brother, Jerel of Columbia, SC; her life-long best friend, Dawne of Garden Grove, CA; and many loving family and friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Mirella; her father, Adrian; and beloved husband, Michael Dennis (d. 2017). 

At Amber’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Chapel Bandera (844 Hwy 173 South, Bandera, TX) on a future date. Contact Lawrence Michael, Karen, Grant, or the Church for information.
