Ann McKinney Taylor, longtime Kerrville resident, was born in Sweetwater, Tennessee on March 12th, 1928. She died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 3rd, 2014. \r\n Ann was a proud and loyal mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and an active member of First Presbyterian Church. She made abundant use of her music degree from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia; in addition to choral and hand bell ensembles, she taught piano, and provided accompaniment for services at the Divide Chapel. \r\n Her many volunteer activities included tutoring fifth graders, delivering Meals on Wheels, and hospice outreach.\r\n Following years of family moves, and yet more moves, Kerrville became Ann's true home, and she had friendships that sustained her, enriching those whose paths she shared, through gladness and in sorrow, in fulfillment and at times of loss. The legacy that she helped to create includes her sons, Benjamin Harrison Taylor and David Thaddeus Taylor, of San Antonio, daughter Lela Taylor Scott, of Memphis, and their wonderful families.\r\n A celebration of the life of Ann McKinney Taylor will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Kerrville, on December 19th, 2014, at 2 PM. \r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
