Bobby Salyers passed away peacefully at his home on the Courtney Mountain Ranch in Bandera on September 7, 2025. Robert Marvin Salyers was born on July 15, 1956, in Corpus Christi to Marvin and Ann Mireur Salyers, the youngest of five children. He graduated from Ray High School in Corpus Christi and the Ranch Management Program at Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde.

In September 1977, Bobby received an offer from Bill Courtney to come to Bandera and manage his ranch. Bobby was still employed by the ranch on the day he died.

Bobby is survived by his daughter Colleen and her husband Sean Haley and their children Maelynn and Riley of Bandera; his son Hunter and his wife Gabby and their son Caleb of Kingsville; his son Dustin Haseloff and his wife Bianca and their children Giuliana and Cullen of San Antonio; his partner Jeri Stevens of Bandera; his brother Jack and his wife Toni of Lumberton; his sister Ellen of New Braunfels; his sister Linda of Corpus Christi; many nieces and nephews as well as cousins and their spouses and children and grandchildren; and many, many friends.

He is also survived by the members of the Courtney family – Sherrill and Bill Barker; Matt and Diana Barker; Brett and Shannon Barker; Chais and Robert Moore; Newton and Monica Hopkins; and Caitlyn and Blake Bonner.
