Cecil Allen, Jr.

Cecil Woodrow Allen Jr., age 78 of Kerrville, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 in a local hospital. He was born January 16, 1939 in Nueces County, Texas to Cecil Woodrow Allen Sr. and Cleo (Crisp) Allen. \r\n \r\nCecil was a veteran of United States Air Force. He sold real estate in Kerrville for over 20 years. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Allen; brother, Gary Allen; and sister, Phyllis Bivens.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include son, Glen Allen (Kerrie) of Washington; step-daughter, Rolinda Schmidt (Arthur) of Kerrville; sister, Twinkle Adams of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Aeric, Jordan, Blair, Hunter, Amelia, Shaun and Ashley; great grandchildren, Ryder, Wyatt, Alex, Robert, Emmah and Bryce.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held 10 AM, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Father Tom Murray.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion.
