Charlton Ernest Albert, 88, of Bandera, Texas, passed away on September 14, 2014 in Bandera, Texas. He was born in Floresville, Texas to Karl Christian Albert and Lillie Emilie Maeckel Albert on September 8, 1926. He married Ruby Nell Kothmann on July 27th, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas.\r\n\r\nHe went to school in Floresville and was a successful business owner/partner for over 40 years in the auto service industry, specifically in front-end alignment and frame straightening. He was involved in his church throughout his life and served as a council member during his younger years. Over the past 40 years he has been a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Bandera. He enjoyed working in his home shop where he built anything he could think of to build. In his early years he enjoyed auto racing, boating, and everything about autos. He spent timeless hours creating play adventures for his kids, from slot car tables, gocart(s) and tracks, a skate ramp and much more. He loved his family and extended family very much and considered Bandera his life-long home.\r\n\r\nCharlton is preceded in death by his father, Karl Albert and mother, Lillie Albert, sister, Eleanor Schimcek, brother, Harvey Albert, son, Gary Albert, wife, Ruby Nell Kothmann Albert, daughter, Cindy Albert Coss, nephew, Norwin Schimcek (Sonny Boy).\r\n\r\nCharlton is survived by daughter, Dianne Albert Farmer and Bryce Farmer, son, Sam Charlton Albert: grandchildren, Erika Lynn Farmer and Tex Kerschen, Erin Elaine Ebright and Jim Ebright, Seth Reid Farmer and Sara Bowden Farmer, Dustin Boyd Coss: great-grandchildren, Jude Reid Farmer, Luke Ian Farmer, Samantha Fern Ebright, Eva Cherie Kerschen and Jordan Seth Ebright: and beloved family, sister-in-law, Olga Albert, nieces and nephews, Harvey Carl, Judy, Mindy, Debbie, Peggy, Iris and Bruce Biediger, Kathy Schimcek, Gerald and Cathy Schimcek, and their families.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday, September 19th, 2014 at Grimes Funeral Home in Bandera.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, September 20th, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church in Bandera, with the Pastor Russell Lambert of Grace Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Bandera Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Gerald Schimcek, Tommy Biediger, Nathan Schimcek, Marty Schimcek, Jason Birdwell, Jim Ebright, Seth Farmer, Tex Kerschen.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church.\r\n\r\nThe family of Charlton Albert wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his family, friends and neighbors, Bob Shaw, Carol Nobel, Dr. Jaafar and staff, Bandera Rehabilitation and Health Care nurses and staff, River City Hospice and Grace Lutheran Church members and staff.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
