Christie JoAnn Freeman

Christie JoAnn Freeman, 51, of Comstock TX, passed away on January 10, 2026 in Bandera TX. She was born in Fort Stockton to Diane Holman and John Freeman on July 7, 1974.

She attended and graduated Comstock High School and devoted her life to caring for her daughters and grandchildren.

Christie is preceded in death by her husband, grandparents, several cousins, and her mother.

Christie is survived by her daughters Andrea Lee Valdez, Savannah Hope Laird, Layla Mae Freeman, son-in-law Dustyn Blayke Laird, sister Candace Denise Freeman, father John Alan Freeman, grandchildren Jesse Reed Huizar, Charlie Rose Laird, Kayce Joshua Laird, more cousins, and many dear friends.

A visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday January 21, 2026, at Bandera Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm with Brother Mark S. Caronna officiating.

The family of Christie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to first responders in Bandera, University Hospital, and Bandera Funeral Chapel during this difficult time.
