David Alexander Guerra, age 21, was born on April 10, 2004, in San Antonio, TX, and raised in Pipe Creek, TX. He was welcomed into Jesus’ loving arms on January 5, 2026. David was the youngest son of Harvey and Lucinda Guerra, brother to Kassandra (Guerra) Onofre and (Harvey) Isaac Guerra, great-grandson to Genevieve Najera, grandson to Humberto Guerra and Salome and Lucia Perez, nephew to several aunts and uncles, and cousin to a large and loving family.
He is reunited in Heaven with his grandmother Katherine Guerra.
David was an honors graduate of Bandera High School in 2022 where he excelled in athletics as a Varsity football, basketball, and soccer player. He was in his Senior Year at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he was honorably awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in Space Operations posthumously. While at Embry-Riddle, he earned a Student Employee of the Year award and was actively involved in several clubs and organizations where he made countless professional and personal relationships. David was a Managing Editor and Lead Designer for The Avion - the news and media division of the Student Government Association. Understanding the challenges of being a first generation student himself, he felt led to serve as a mentor in the First-Generation Club for the past three years. He was a founding member of the UnReel Media Production Company where he lived out his passion for photography & videography. While in college, David worked at various locations including The Ocean Center and The Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach where he excelled in customer service and developed several lifelong friendships with coworkers who became family. David was a devoted follower of Christ showing God’s love, peace, and grace to all those around him. He attended Salty Church in Ormond Beach, Florida, and grew daily in his personal walk with the Lord while living out his life verse, Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends, and we know that his legacy will continue to impact the lives of all those who were fortunate enough to spend even a moment with him.
