Dolores Pauline Plamondon passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and devotion to the people and creatures she loved. Born on July 6, 1935, she lived a life defined by passion and a generous spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A gifted craftswoman, Dolores found joy in sewing, gardening, decoupage, and the many creative projects that filled her home with color and care. She was the family’s unofficial historian, pouring her heart into family pictures, genealogy, and preserving the stories that connected generations.
Dolores had an especially tender heart for abandoned animals. To her, a stray was simply a friend she hadn’t met yet, and countless cats found safety, warmth, and love because she opened her door—and her heart—without hesitation.
She dedicated many years of service as an LVN for Baylor in Dallas, where her steady hands and confident demeanor brought comfort to patients and colleagues alike.
Dolores is survived by her half‑brother, Joe Massarello, his wife Carolyn, and their daughters Jena and Briana. She is also survived by her niece, Erin Borrowman, and her nephews, Edwin and Paul Maier, as well as her stepchildren, whom she helped raise. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and Ed Maier.
Dolores will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, and her unwavering belief that every life—human or animal—deserved care and dignity. Her memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of those she loved.
Visitation will be held at 10am, on Friday April 10, 2026, at Bandera Funeral Chapel with a Funeral Service to follow beginning at 11am.
