Donald Markham

Donald Marshall Markham, 89, of Comfort, passed away July 22, 2021 in Kerrville. He was born in Tatum, NM on November 17, 1931 to John and Ethel Markham. He was a Navy Veteran of four years and served in the Korean War. He was head engineer at Kerrville State Hospital for 24 years. He was an active member of the Kendall County Cowboy Church of Comfort. Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Donnie Markham and parents, John and Ethel Markham. He is survived by his wife, Alice Markham; daughter, DeDe Whan; sons, Daryl Markham (April), Darren Markham and Doug Markham; step-son, Gene New (Janet); 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and brother, Dick Markham (Joyce). Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Kendall County Cowboy, 605 FM 289, Comfort, TX 78013. A potluck dinner will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kendall County Cowboy Church Building Fund.
