Dorothy Aline Burnes

Dorothy Aline Burnes, 91, of Bandera, passed away on April 12, 2026 in Bandera. She was born in Delhi, Louisana to Joe and Nellie Saucier on October 3, 1934.

She married Allen Lee Burnes on September 28, 1969 in Bandera.

She was a courageous and loving woman who raised many kids as her own, in addition to being a loving spouse and mother.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Allen, her son Joseph (Joey), and daughter Blanche (B).

Dorothy is survived by her children Clara, Bonnie, Wilbur (Will), and David. Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren including Bianca (Babe), Shannon, Jason, Jessica, and Dustin. She is survived by many great grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by many Saucier family members in Louisana, including: Linda Johnson; Eudolie Saucier; and Mickey, Russel, and Timothy Lejune.

Dorothy is survived by many Burnes family members originally from Bandera, including: Mike Burnes, William Burnes, Josie Burger, Jackie Tharp.

Visitation will be held 5pm, Monday, April 20, 2026 at Grimes Funeral Home in Bandera.

Funeral services will be held 10am, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Grimes Funeral Home in Bandera. Burial will follow at Bandera Cemetery.
