Douglas Edward Clemens, 86, of Tarpley, Texas, passed away on Jan. 4, 2015 in Bandera, Texas. He was born June 9, 1928 in Del Rio to Ferdinand Adolph Jr. and Bessie Ray Clemens.\r\n\r\nDoug grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he graduated from North Dallas High School in 1945. He attended Texas A & M before enlisting in the Army Air Corps in May, 1946, where he received the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation. Doug spent his career in the printing business, first with Clemens Printing in San Antonio, then Big Spring Printing before returning to Dallas-Fort Worth where he sold printing until his retirement to Tarpley, Texas.\r\n\r\nSurvivors: Children Mark Clemens and wife, Jo Ann, of Tarpley, TX; Evan Clemens and wife, Carol, of Woodland Park, NJ; Pam Lackey and husband Kimball of Weatherford; Dean Clemens and wife Cheryl of Conroe; brother Wayne Clemens and wife Jean of Garland; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-granddaughters and Charlie.\r\n\r\nA memorial service and interment will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery April 3, 2015, Friday, 10:30 AM.\r\n\r\nDoug s family extends our sincere thanks to the caregivers at Bandera Rehabilitation and Healthcare and the many friends who looked out for him during his time in Tarpley.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
