Emil Rogers

Emil LeRoy Rogers of Pipe Creek, Texas, passed away on October 5, 2022. He was born at home in Seneca, Kansas to Albert and Margaret M. Rogers on December 9, 1937.

He married Barbara R. Rogers on June 15, 1958, in Washington, Kansas.

During this time, he and Barbara pastored at Friends Church in Kansas. Later they went to Chandler, Oklahoma to pastor another Friends Church. Moving to San Antonio in 1970, he was an Academic Supervisor and his wife, a school nurse at a Friends School for emotionally disturbed children.

He and his wife served as missionaries to Native Americans from 2004 until 2011 in Oklahoma.

LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents, 11 brothers and sisters, his wife Barbara, and son David Louis.

He is survived by his son, Steven and his wife Sharon, grandchildren, Timothy, Jonathan, Matthew, Ashley, Stephanie, Donavan, and Cassandra. Along with 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday October 11, 2022, at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel in Bandera, Texas with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Internment followed by at Pipe Creek Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel of Bandera, Texas.
