Gary Richards

Gary Len Richards passed away at his home in Bandera, Texas on Thursday, March 28, 2019. He was 72 years old.\r\n\r\nGary was born April 18, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas to Winifred Causey Richards and Conley Henry Richards. The family was longtime residents of Bandera County. Gary served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He also had a long and dedicated career in law enforcement retiring from the Austin Police Department the end of December, 1995.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents Conley and Winifred "Woodie" Richards. Survivors include his sons Gary Richards and fiance Kim Towery, Bret Richards and Shannon Carr; step son Randall Hamilton and his family; sisters and brothers Colene Dugosh, Woody Don Richards, Coy Richards Word and husband Jim, Conley Richards and wife Rose; grandchildren Kortney and Ryan Richards as well as many other extended family members and treasured friends.\r\n\r\nA graveside service will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Bandera Cemetery.\r\n\r\nThose who desire may make memorial gifts to the S.P.C.A. in Gary's honor.
