Germaine DeVreese Trent

Germaine DeVreese Trent, 95, of Bandera, Texas passed away March 31, 2026. Germaine was born in Ghent Belgium on May 7, 1930.

At age 14 she was forced to work in a textile plant for the Nazi. At age 18 Germaine traveled along by boat to Canada. While there she answered an ad in the paper for ranch hand/help in Bandera, Tx. The bus ride from Canada took a week. She was single, unaccompanied and very brave. She worked at Gallagher and Lost Valley Ranch in Bandera, Tx.

She married Harold Harvey Trent (an oil man) in 1964 and together they traveled the world. She told many wonderful stories of their travels.

A service will be held Friday, April 24, 2026, at 3pm at St Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera with Father Frank as celebrant.

Her ashes will be interred with Harold at Cross Dot Ranch.
