Gwendolynn J. Brawner

Gwendolyn K. Brawner passed away on May 2, 2025, in Medina, Texas. She was born on February 4, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to Frederick Earl Johnson and Mary Ruth Johnson.

Gwen graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio in 1973. On June 22, 1982, she married Robert Wayne Brawner. She dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mom, caring for her family with love and devotion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Mary Ruth Johnson, and by Bessie and Virgil Wright. Gwen is survived by her husband, Robert W. Brawner, and their two sons, Robert R. Brawner and Matthew R. Brawner. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Lillian, Noah, Isabelle, Warren, and Robert R. Brawner Jr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Bandera Funeral Chapel, located at 1214 Mulberry, Bandera, Texas 78003. Interment will follow at Oak Rest Cemetery in Medina, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Brawner, Noah Brawner, Charles Bailey, Charles Bochat Jr., Darryl Faglie, and Ryan Pipes.

Gwen will be remembered for her kind heart, deep love for her family, and the warmth she brought to those around her. She will be greatly missed.
