Harold E. Woods passed away peacefully in his Ingram, Texas home on December 18, 2020 at the age of 83. Harold was the youngest of three children born to Harold L. Woods and Euna Russell on May 9, 1937 in Pomeroy, Washington.\r\n\r\nPreceding him in death are sisters, Carolyn L. Woods, Beverly Davis and son, Harold E. Woods Jr.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by daughter, Wanda S. Richardson of Sedan, KS and son, Wyborn S. Woods of Doniphan, MO, along with three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nHarold spent his childhood in Washington and California ending up residing in Deerfield, Missouri. He enlisted into the United States Army in March of 1959 where he served with the 82nd Airborne division as a Jumpmaster, Mechanic, and a Behavioral Science Specialist. In March of 1980, he retired honorably as a Staff Sergeant.\r\n\r\nAfter discharge, he went on to work for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Kerrville Texas for 25 years.\r\n\r\nThe family wishes to recognize Alamo Hospice and Helping Hands of Mother Teresa for their loving service to Harold and the Woods family.\r\n\r\nA private service will be held by the family at a later time.\r\n\r\nHis service to this great nation, kindness to others and generosity to the Wounded Warrior Project will not be forgotten.\r\n\r\nDonations may be made to Alamo Hospice, Helping Hands of Mother Teresa or the Wounded Warrior Project.
