Harvey Thomas Jr, 88, of Bandera entered eternal rest on July 27, 2026, at his home in Bandera, Texas. Thank you, my love, for the time we shared. My life is better because you were in it. I'll hold you in my heart until I can hold you in heaven. Harvey's presence will be deeply missed, his love lives on in the hearts of his wife, family and friends forever.

He was born on March 31, 1938. On June 19, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he married Eliane P. Provenza —his beloved wife whom he is survived by.

After Harvey Thomas graduated high school, he went on to complete two years of college. His professional career was largely spent working as a Pathology Technician for The University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHS) in San Antonio for 36 years; in this role, he brought over 30 years of dedicated experience to the field.

Additionally, Harvey Thomas was passionate about dogs and was an active member of the Schutzhund club where he worked alongside his fellow dog handlers to train the working dogs to compete in sports involving 3 phases, tracking, obedience, and protection, as well as been a decoy, catching the dogs on the sleeve in the protection phase. He also volunteered his time with and devoted his expertise in Search and Rescue dog training, cadaver search, drug detection, also helped with the K9 police dog training.

Harvey Thomas will be memorialized at a later date at Bandera Funeral Chapel.
