Ida Sanders

Ida Mae Sanders was called to be with her beloved husband on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the age of 90. Ida Mae Thrailkill was born on September 26, 1926, to Ruth and Carroll Thrailkill in Frost, Texas. Ida Mae married Joe Sanders on August 11, 1946. They were married for 66 years.\r\n \r\nShe loved nothing more than to spend time with her family, and made every single one of them know that they were special to her, one of a kind and unconditionally loved. She will be greatly missed, and fondly remembered by all. She was a bright, independent woman, an entrepreneur, a loving wife, and mother to 4 sons, Carroll Joe and wife Becky of Kerrville, Texas, Randy and wife Lisa of Kerrville, Texas, Ronnie of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Scott and wife Sandy of Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a wonderful Mema to 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.\r\n \r\nIda Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Carroll Thrailkill and her beloved husband, Joe Sanders. She is survived by her siblings, Ed Thrailkill, Frances Duke, Bill Thrailkill and Richard Thrailkill.\r\n \r\nThe family would like to thank the staff at Hilltop Village for taking such great care of Ida Mae for the past 4 years. They were always so kind and patient with Ida Mae.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be from 5-7 PM, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels. \r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, August 4, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe. Interment will follow at Nichols Cemetery. \r\n
