Israel Jimenez, age 5 of Kerrville, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017. He was born February 7, 2012 in Fredericksburg, Texas.\r\n \r\nHe loved Power Rangers - especially the Red one, and loved the song, "La Chona" by Los Tucanes. He also loved to fish, spend time with his grandfather who was his best friend, barbecuing and roasting corn. He also loved to spend time with his cousins and loved to dance. \r\n \r\nHe is survived by mother, Virginia Peña and her husband, Victor Juarez of Kerrville; biological mother, Celeste Jimenez; grandparents, Sylvia and Antonio Zuniga of Kerrville; sisters, Mya and Abigail Juarez and brother, Daniel Peña, all of Kerrville; aunts, Belinda Salinas, Lucy Baron and Amy Peña; uncles, Eduardo Gonzales, Marcial Gonzales, David Salinas, Freddy Carranza and Steven Jimenez.\r\n \r\nRosary will be at 6 PM, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nMass will be 2 PM, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father David Wagner as celebrant. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery.\r\n \r\nSpecial thanks to Dr. Troy Quigg, his staff and his nurse, Veronica and to Dr. Granger from Ft. Worth and her staff.\r\n
