Jack Barker

Jack D. Barker, 69, of Bandera, Texas passed away on August 2, 2020, after a three year battle with cancer. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas to Whit and Lula Mae Trout Barker from McKinney, Texas. He was married to Linda Pierce on November 6, 2005 in Bandera, Texas.\r\n\r\nJack worked as a landscaper.\r\n\r\nJack Barker was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Nora and Ed Barker, Katherine and Earl Reed; brothers, Johnny Barker, McKinney, Texas and Donald Barker, Bandera, Texas; best buddy, Duke Wayne Barker.\r\n\r\nJack is survived by his wife, Linda Barker; daughters, Annette Barker (Rick Sutton), Wichita Falls, Texas, Jana Sells (Joshua), Hockley, Texas; son, Jackie Dale Barker, Jr., Wichita Falls, Texas; brother, George Barker (Karen), Bandera, Texas; lifelong friend, Russell Jenkins; grandchildren, Hutson Daugherty, Wichita Falls, Texas, Hollie Creed Sells, Hockley, Texas, McKenzie and Ashton Barker, Arkansas. \r\n\r\nA memorial service will be announced at a later date.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice of San Antonio, Texas and South Texas Oncology of Kerrville, Texas.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be made to Lions Club of Bandera, Texas and Amedisys Hospice of San Antonio, Texas.\r\n\r\n\r\n
