Jackie Gross

Jacqueline Kennedy Gross went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 30th, 2021. She was surrounded by family. Jackie was born on January 5, 1933, to Joe Kennedy and Mabel Stiewig Kennedy. She graduated from Burbank High School in San Antonio. She then moved to Hawaii where she met a handsome Naval Officer. She and Peter Samuel Gross, Jr. were married on September 7, 1956, in San Antonio, TX. They made their home in San Antonio where Sam attended St. Mary's Law School. After the arrival of their 3 children, they purchased an old farmhouse in Seguin, TX, which they spent many months restoring. Many great memories were made there. After Sam's retirement, they moved to Kerrville, TX where they stayed until Sam's death. Jackie then moved to New Braunfels, TX to be closer to family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mable Kennedy, husband, Sam Gross, son, Peter Samuel Gross III, and sisters, Joanne Singleton Anthony and Patricia Lockett. She is survived by her son, Joseph Gross and wife Kimmy, daughter Sydni Curtis and husband Wes, grandchildren Mia Goodman and husband Bobby, Johnathan Ramirez and wife Lauren, Shelby Holder and husband Christian, Johnathan Conran and wife Eva, Lindsey Goss and husband David. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Saben and Brennan McCoy, Ayden and Teddy Goodman, Jackson and Jayce Conran, Brianna Moreno Conran, Kayson Bennett and Emilia and Carter Goss. In addition, she is survived by her brother Bill Kennedy and wife Mary and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. Jackie and Sam traveled extensively in their later years and made many great friends. Jackie loved to work crossword puzzles and after her morning Bible reading, she completed the puzzle in the newspaper every day. She became quite accomplished at playing games on her iPhone in her 80's. She was loyal and generous to her family and friends. She was always up for an adventure! Jackie loved to tell people about Jesus and how she depended on His guidance daily. She was a member of The Country Church in Marion, TX. A memorial service will be held at The Country Church, 1005 W. FM 78, Marion, TX 78124, June 11th at 10:30 A.M., with Brother Butch Ikels officiating. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Gardens, 520 Benson Dr., Kerrville, TX 78028 or the charity of your choice.
