Joe Ann Hendon 82, of Bandera County since 1988 passed away at her home near Bandera on Friday, December 23, 2022.
She was born August 23, 1940, in West Plains, Missouri to Verlin Scott and Eva Ruth Huett of Mountainhome, Arkansas.
On June 3, 1958, she married Jesse Lee Hendon in Yellville, Arkansas, and with this union she had five children.
Joe Ann was a homemaker, a devoted mother, and loyal wife who traveled throughout the states with his construction company. She will be remembered as a mother, to all whose lives she touched and will be dearly missed by all.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Verlin and Ruth Huett and her brother, Michael Huett.
She is survived by her sister, Janice Blasdel and husband, Earl of Mountainhome, Arkansas; two daughters, Deborah Arnold and husband, David, of Osage City, Kansas and Teresa Habegger and husband,
Larry of Norman, Oklahoma; three sons, Tommy Hendon and wife, Susan of Norman, Oklahoma, Michael Hendon and Allen Hendon of Bandera, Texas. 15 grandchildren, Lori Arnold Herring, Ryan Arnold, Amy Habegger Pierce, Austin Habegger, Lance Hendon, Landen Lynnette Hendon, Tiffany Hendon Vogel, Aaron Hendon, Reva Hendon Fortin, Miranda Hendon, Lance Hendon, Cameron Hendon, Joshua Hendon, and Haley Hendon.
22 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 1:00 PM with funeral services following at 2:00 P.M. at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel in Bandera, Texas. Interment will follow at Bandera Cemetery.
Gentleman serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Arnold, Landen Hendon, Cameron Hendon, Lance Hendon, Aaron Hendon, Josh Hendon, Austin Habegger.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Allen Hendon.
