Joyce Kennedy
August 20, 1939 — January 22, 2022
Joyce Elaine Kennedy, 82, passed away on January 22, 2022. She was born on August 20, 1939 in Canyon, Texas to Thom and Opal Newton.
Joyce was a longstanding member of Bandina Church of Christ and a member of Eastern Star in Kerrville, Medina, and Bandera.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thom and Opal Newton; husband of 64 years, Rex Kennedy; brother, Jerry Newton, and sister, Noreen.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti Lewis; sons, Richard (Shannon) A. Kennedy, Sr., Ronald L. (Jeanette) Kennedy; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Bandera Church of Christ on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 3 pm.
Arrangements are under the direction of Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel, 1214 Mulberry, Bandera, Texas 78003.
