Judson Earl Bohannan of Bandera, Texas went peacefully to live with his Lord on Friday, October 17, 2025. Judson was born on August 5, 1942, in Pearsall, Texas to John L. Bohannan and Opal Gertrude Carpenter.
Judd, as he was known by family and friends grew up and graduated high school in Dilley, Texas. Following his high school graduation, he attended Draughon's Business College in San Antonio where he studied accounting. He went to work for General Motors Corporation as an auditor and retired after 35 years of service. After retiring from GMC, he worked an additional five years for Kelley Moore Paint Company in Fort Worth, Texas. He later moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas and eventually to Uvalde to be near his family.
In 2013 he met Doris Marshall of Bandera, and they were married on August 6, 2016, at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Bandera, Texas. Judd and Doris enjoyed getting together with friends, dancing to country music and traveling to their condo in Genoa, Nevada where they spent time at the local casino. Doris said that the nicest thing about Judd was that he enjoyed eating out at least a couple of times a week.
Judd was preceded in death by his parents John and Opal Bohannan and his sister, Barbara Jean Bohannan Wells. He is survived by his wife, Doris, his twin brother, John Bohannan and wife Joyce of Bandera, sister, Nancy Clawson and husband Beau of Big Spring, Texas, and brother, Emmet Bohannan and wife Janice of Utopia, Texas, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send your gifts to The Nagel Clinic, Bandera, Texas, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
