March 19, 1948 — July 26, 2023

Julia Elizabeth Pickron, 75, of Houston, TX passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in Bandera, TX. She was born in East St. Louis, Illinois to parents Doris and Thomas Pace on March 19, 1948.  She was married for fifty-four years to her loving and devoted husband, Jeffrey Norman Pickron.

We celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose kindness, generosity, and love touched the lives of all she knew.  As a devoted wife, mother and nana, she showered her family with endless affection and unwavering support. She was a devoted Catholic who lived her life with the strong values created by her faith in the Lord, always seeing the best in everyone and spreading joy to those around her.

She attended school at Glynn Academy High School in Brunswick, GA, where she met her husband, Jeff.  Her calling after high school was to become a nurse and she brought comfort and healing to countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of so many in her community.

She and Jeff formed lifelong bonds with so many through their Marriage Encounter community in Houston.  She also has so many cherished memories of her friends in the Bridlegate community who have been so loving and generous during her retirement years. And let us not forget her beloved Astros baseball that brought her so much joy over the years, and her loyal compaion, Lily, who was always by her side.

Julie is preceded in death by her mother, Doris Campbell and her father Thomas Pace.
