Juli Hunter, 20, of Bandera, Texas, passed away on July 29, 2026.

Juli was born on August 8, 2005. Since July 2021, she was raised by her grandmother, Mary Fissell, along with her younger siblings, in a home full of love and steadiness. She went to school at Bandera High School and graduated in 2024.

Juli had a quiet, thoughtful spirit paired with an old soul that seemed to belong to someone far beyond her years, even as she held onto the things that brought her joy as a kid at heart, especially cartoons and her love of Spiderman. She was deeply creative, with a gift for art and drawing that she pursued as a true perfectionist, always working until a piece felt just right. She loved nature, the water, and the quiet wonder of the moon and stars, spending happy hours swimming. She found comfort and fun in baking with her sister, joy in playing board and video games, and she carried a quick wit and gentle sense of humor, silly at heart and especially loved by the kids in her life. Above all, Julie was known for her giving, loving heart, always looking out for others, and she shared an especially close bond with her aunt Dani.

Juli is survived by her mother, Chelsea Buckholt; siblings, Gauge Hastings (17) and Ollie Hastings (10); her grandmother, Mary Liz Fissell; her aunt Tamatha Buckholt, her aunt and uncle, Danielle and Tom Relyea; her cousins, Hudson, Brewer, Jodie and Sydney; her great grandmother and great grandfather, Ray and Mary Ellen Speer; and several great great aunts and great aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her Grandfather, John David Buckholt; her step father, Chris Hastings.

Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at Bandera Funeral Chapel, 1214 Mulberry St, Bandera TX 78003. Visitation at 3:00, Service at 4:00

Juli's memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
