Laurie Jo Handsel, 62, of Bandera, TX, passed away on January 12, 2022 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in San Antonio, TX to her parents; Samuel & Laura Charlton on August 5, 1959. She married to James Handsel on July 19, 1978 in San Antonio, TX.
Laurie was a dedicated wife & mother first and foremost. She treasured her role as a wife & mother & embraced every moment she had with her family. She especially loved her role as Doo (aka: grandma & great grandma). She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear to everyone. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh.
Laurie is survived by James Handsel (husband), Tiffany Ingram (daughter), Steven Ingram (son-in-law), Herman “Butch” Charlton (Brother), Patricia Langham (sister), Dalton Handsel (grandson), Chase Lowden (grandson), Ty Lowden (grandson) & Braxton Handsel (great-grandson).
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm January 21, 2022 at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel, 1214 Mulberry Street, Bandera, TX 78003.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel.
