Leonora Maureen Lucas, 97 years old, of Helotes, Texas, passed away on August 23, 2026, peacefully in her home. She was born in San Leon, Texas, to Maury J. Heiman and Leonora Marie Benefield on June 19, 1929. She married James Anthony Lucas on February 5,1955. They had five daughters, Barbara, Elizabeth, Beverly, Justine, and Helen.

Leonora cherished her 11 grandchildren and her 13 great grandchildren.

Leonora attended school in San Antonio, Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Our Lady Of The Lake University. Leonora enjoyed teaching elementary school in San Antonio, Texas, for many years.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00AM, on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Pipe Creek Cemetery, in Pipe Creek, Texas.
