Madge Dreier

Madge Dreier, age 89 of Kerrville, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014. She was born December 1, 1924 in Dublin, TX to Silas Murray Green and Cressie (Bishop) Green. On June 28, 1946, she married Walter A. Dreier in Ingleside, TX.\r\n\r\nMadge was a member of First United Methodist Church of Kerrville, United Methodist Women, Hill Country Arts Foundation Auxiliary and Hill Country Quilt Guild. She was a very avid quilter and won Best of Show for quilts at the 1986 Texas State Fair. She made quilts for all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Dreier; and a grandson, Michael.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by daughters, Mary Katherine Nutt and husband, Arthur of Mexia, Susan Louise Human and husband, Michael of Murchison, TX and Carol Ann Magner and husband, Marty of Largo, FL; sister, Dixie Kennedy of Kerrville; grandchildren, Chris Human and wife, Jennifer, Jennifer Sullivan and husband, Frank, Bethany Ferrall and husband, Chris, Wesley Hult and Stephen Hult; great grandchildren, Emily Sullivan, Katherine Sullivan, Nicolas Human, Mackenzie Human and Dylan Human.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held Friday, September 19, 2014, 6-8 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nMemorials services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014, 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Bob Allen and Rev. Donna Magee. Burial will be held privately.\r\n\r\nHonorary pallbearers will be Roy Martin, Chris Ferrall, Frank Sullivan, Wesley Hult, Stephen Hult and Andrew Martin.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be made to the Choir Music Program at First United Methodist Church.\r\n\r\nSpecial thanks to all of the employees at Plaza on the River for their love and care of our Mother.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
