Raymond Julius White Jr., 81, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on March 1, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee to Margaret Lucille Morrison White and Raymond Julius White Sr. on July 1, 1939. He was married to Elizabeth Cox White who preceded him in death. \r\nHe attended Delmar College and The University of Corpus Christi. He began his work life as a bank teller and then as a finance company manager and thirty years as an Allstate multi-line insurance adjuster. He also served in the Army National Guard medical platoon for six years. He was a trumpet player who taught himself to play the drums. He was a drummer and singer in country bands for over 40 years playing with Willie Nelson, Ray Price, Frenchie Burke, Waylon Jennings and Porter Wagner. Porter Wagner wanted him to go on the road with him back in the day.\r\nRaymond served as Pastoral Council President for St. Victor's Catholic Church, Lake Hills, Texas; was a Knight of Columbus 4th Degree; on the Board of Medina River Ranch Association for ten years; President of Triad; appointed to the Alamo Area Council of Governments; President of Medina Lake Betterment Association, Commander of American Legion Post 410; Windcrest Optimist Club; Toastmasters; Bandera County Disaster Team for Red Cross; delivered for Meals On Wheels; and a loyal VistaCare volunteer.\r\nRaymond White Jr. is survived by his two daughters, Catherine White Royal (Glenn) of Katy, Texas, Stephanie Lynn Stone of San Antonio, Texas; sons, Raymond Julius White III (Lisa) of Converse, Texas, David Craig Stone (Kim) of Spring Branch, Texas; sister, Shirley White Pefanis (Mike) of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Annastacia McDonald of San Antonio, Texas, James Royal (Lauren) of Austin,Texas, Alexa White, of Lake Hills, Texas, Sarah Royal of Katy, Texas, Shelby Stone of Gonzales, Texas, Austen White of San Antonio, Texas, Morgan Stone of Spring Branch, Texas, David Casey Stone of Spring Branch, Texas and two great grandchildren, Kinsley White and Caden White of Lake Hills, Texas. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael White of Jackson Hole, WY and sister Patricia White Wafer of Albuquerque, New Mexico.\r\nA viewing will be held, March 10, 2021, 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Bandera, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am with burial at Pipe Creek Cemetery. Rev. Msgr. Frank Kurzaj will officiate. The family has requested that everyone please wear a mask to insure the safety of all attending.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake Hills Community Center at P.O.
