Obituary

Rena Mazurek, age 72, of Lakehills, Texas, passed peacefully from this life on July 23, 2026. Born on July 26, 1953, to Robert Swager and Jane King of San Antonio, Texas.

Rena devoted much of her life to her family's beloved restaurant, Adolphs, where she managed the kitchen with dedication, warmth, and a side dish of sarcasm. Alongside her husband, she helped make Adolph's a Texas Hill Country tradition, welcoming locals and travelers alike with hearty home-cooked meals. More than a restaurant, it became a gathering place where friendships were formed, stories were shared, and everyone felt at home.

She married the love of her life, Adolph, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together they built a family and a business, working side by side for decades. Whenever they could steal time away, they loved travelling and making memories at Rolling Stones concerts, finding joy simply in being together.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Jane & Robert Swager & sister Debbie. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Adolph Mazurek, Jr; her children James Mazurek (Laura) of Bandera and Mark Mazurek of Lakehills; Grandchildren, Ava, Josh, and Travis; two sisters, extended family, cherished friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and excellent burgers.

Visitation will be held on July 30, 2026 from 5 to 7pm with rosary to begin at 7pm at Bandera Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on July 31, 2026 at 10am at Bandera Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Caronna officiating. Interment at Pipe Creek Cemetery.
