Richard "Rick" Swett

Rick Swett, 78, of Bandera passed away on Monday March 30, 2026 peacefully at his home in Bandera. He was born in Washington DC on Bolling Airforce Base to Bion and Joyce Swett on February 23, 1948. He married Eloise Swett February 14, 1996 in Bandera.

He graduated from Waco High School in 1966. Rick joined the Airforce in 1978 and served until he retired in 1990. He then went on to several other interesting jobs such as truck driving, Bandera City police officer and then working in nuclear plants as a pipe fitter before retiring.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Bion and Joyce Swett, his brother Lester Swett and his wife Eloise Swett.

Rick is survived by his son Terry Knibbe, Jr. and daughter Tara Raab and husband Frank Raab, brother Jerry and Patricia Swett, sister in law Imelda Swett and sister Lorraine Williams, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Miranda, Garrett, Ashleigh, Sarah, Emma, great grandchildren Bridgett and Rozilyn.

The visitation for Rick Swett will be held from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Bandera Funeral Chapel in Bandera TX. 

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. the next day, Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Bandera Cemetery in Bandera TX.
