Ronald Wayne
Beadles
Mar 12, 1945 — Sep 20, 2026
Ron Beadles, Chief Petty Officer, U.S. Navy (Ret.), 81, of Bandera, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Ron was married to the love of his life, Jessica Beadles of San Antonio, Texas. Together, Ron and Jessica enjoyed riding their Can-Am Spyder RT through the Texas Hill Country and, above all, spending time with their family.
Ron proudly served his country for more than 21 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. His distinguished Navy career included service with the National Security Agency/Central Security Service at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. Throughout his career, Ron received numerous military honors and commendations, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and Navy Achievement Medal. His service to his country was an important and lasting part of his life and legacy.
Ron never met a stranger. He was the kind of man who could strike up a conversation with someone he had never met and walk away having made a lifelong friend. He genuinely loved people. He wanted to know their stories, hear about their lives, and make a connection with them.
One of Ron’s cherished traditions was meeting with his group of friends at Snowflake Donuts in Bandera. Rain, sleet, or snow, Ron made every effort to be there. As his health began to decline, those gatherings became an especially meaningful way for him to remain connected to the people and community he treasured.
There was always a twinkle in Ron’s eye. His smile, accompanied by his infectious laugh, could fill a room and bring joy to anyone fortunate enough to be nearby. There was a warmth about him that made people feel welcome, whether they had known him for years or had only just met him.
Ron deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family was one of his greatest joys, and the time he spent with them mattered deeply to him.
Ron was one of those people God blessed this world with—a man who reminded us that there are still genuinely good people among us. His life was marked not simply by what he accomplished, but by how he made people feel: welcomed, valued, connected, and grateful they had crossed his path.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica Beadles, and their loving blended family- Terri Higgins of Plano, Texas, and Carrie Marquez and her husband, Alberto Marquez, of South Hill, Virginia, Tamara Wetegrove and her husband, Frank, of San Antonio, Texas, and Shawn Hudson and his wife, Angela, of Boerne, Texas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Donnie Beadles and Barry Beadles of San Antonio, Texas, and Bob Riddle of Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Wayne Beadles and Inis Beadles.
A memorial service will be held on October 21, 2026, beginning at 10 AM. Graveside services with honors will follow at 1:45 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (Shelter 4) in San Antonio, Texas.
