Ruben Brown

Ruben Brown, 91, of Bandera, passed away on Thursday September 17, 2020 in Bandera, Texas. He was born in Jourdanton to Bill and Aurora Brown on March 1, 1929. He married Jean Mildred in 1953 and enjoyed 53 years of marriage together until Jean's passing in 2004.\r\nHe went to school in Jourdanton. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army. After the war, he returned to his hometown and worked as a mechanic in both Jourdanton and Bandera, Texas. \r\nRuben is preceded in death by his wife Jean Mildred; his children Steven J Brown and Carol Ann Brown; his brothers and sisters Raymond Brown, Adaline Brown, Robert Brown, Buddy Brown, and Billy Brown; his grandchild Christopher J. Leal. \r\nRuben is survived by his children David Brown and wife Karen of Bandera, Kathy Leal of Kerrville, Susy Schultz and her husband Ronnie Schultz of Bandera, and Lee Brown of Bandera; his brothers and sisters Jimmy Brown and wife Thea of Denison Texas, Tommy Brown and wife Judy of San Antonio, Johnny Brown and wife Sandy of Long Island New York, and Josephine Segura of Jourdanton; his grandchildren Crystal Brown, Kimberly Brown, Samantha Galloway, Steven J. Leal, Robert J. Leal, Lance Halsey, Danny Schultz, Scarlet Brown, Skyler Brown, and Morgan Brown; and his 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.\r\nGrave side services will be held on Tuesday September 22nd at 11 am at San Jose Cemetery in Jourdanton, Texas. \r\nMemorials may be given to Hospice and Home Care at Peterson.
