Scott Edward Parker, 58 of Kerrville, TX, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 on the golf course he helped construct and loved so dearly. He was born in Jackson, Tennessee to Robert and Sylvia Parker on February 1, 1959. \r\n \r\nHe married Lisa Fails on June 27, 1987 in Groveton, Texas at Oaklawn Baptist Church and just celebrated 30 years of marriage.\r\n \r\nScott graduated from Lawrence County High School (class of 1977) in Lawrenceburg, TN and was a member of the LCHS golf team.\r\n \r\nHe graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Agronomy and Turf Grass management and became a Certified Golf Course Superintendent and member.\r\n \r\nScott worked as a Golf Course Superintendent for Comanche Trace for 18 years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and several work related organizations. \r\n \r\nScott was preceded in death by his son, Garrison Scott Parker. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Anne Parker; daughter, Eloree Grace Hoover and son in law John David Hoover of Abilene; sister, Kelly Rowland and brother in law Bill Rowland of Knoxville, TN; and parents, Robert E. and Sylvia Parker of Lawrenceburg, TN. He also is survived by brother in law, Mark Fails and Kelli Fails of Groveton, TX; nephew, Luke Fails and Katie Creek and Ryker Creek of Giddings, Texas; nephew, Matthew Fails and Danielle Fails; and great niece, Abigail Esme Fails. \r\n \r\nFuneral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor John Wheat officiating. A reception will follow the service at the Comanche Trace Clubhouse.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to Peterson Hospice or any Hospice organization of your choice or to the Mississippi State Agronomy School Golf Course Superintendent Scholarship Program, http://www.msufoundation.com/s/811/foundation/interior.aspx?sid=811&gid=1&pgid=2036.\r\n
