Susan Elizabeth King

Susan Elizabeth King was born November 10, 1952, and was 72 years old. She passed away on July 25, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Bethesda, Maryland to James Warren Jones and Sally Elizabeth Jones. She married the love of her life, Eugene (Sonny) King on December 10, 1972, in Sayers, Texas.

She went to school at East Central High School in Sayers, Texas. She worked as a hair stylist in San Antonio. Later, she and Sonny started their own Transport business, and she worked in the office. She was a member of Salem Sayers Baptist Church. Susan was a very generous and loving person. She was very outgoing and quick to smile and all who met her loved her.

Susan is preceded in death by her son Dustin and her husband, Sonny. She is also preceded in death by her brother Jerry Allen Jones and brother Henry Howell Jones.

Susan is survived by John King and daughters, Kyrstin Rae King and Kaylin Elizabeth King, Adam King and Gabriel King and grandson, Dustin James King. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Bryant and brother-in-law, Lee Bryant and their children, Debby Anders, Dawnette Laycock, and Dayna Lewis. She is also survived by her brother, James Jones and her nieces Marilyn Kunasz, Denise Langston and nephew, Allen Jones as well as nephew, Rick Agquiz and families.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00am at the Pipe Creek Cemetery on August 4., 2025. Minister Barry Donham will be officiating. 

Pallbearers will be John King, Adam King, Gabriel King, Allen Jones, Grant Meloney and Mike Weatherby.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bandera Funeral Chapel.
