Theresa Evans, age 80, of Bandera, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2026. She was born in Hamilton, Texas, to Clinton and Geneva Dowell on March 31, 1946. She married Richard Evans on July 29, 1966, and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Theresa was valedictorian of Bandera High School class of 1964.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Geneva Dowell, and by her brother, Jon Dowell.

Theresa is survived by her husband Richard Evans, son Mark Evans and wife Wendy Evans, son WIll Evans, daughter Lisa Stephens and partner Michael Maspero, and grandchildren Wyatt Evans, Caleb Evans, and Emmett Evans. Theresa devoted her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren and enjoyed quilting and genealogy.

A private ceremony will be held for the immediate family at a later time.

The Evans family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the Bandera County EMS, Peterson Regional Medical Center, and the Bandera Funeral Chapel for their care and support.
