Born December 9, 1929 to parents, Earl and Dora Ives, Tom passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2015. Tom was born in Austin, TX and grew up in Dripping Springs, TX.\r\n \r\nHe was married to Eleanor A. Moses on November 7, 1953. Later he found his second love, Diane Jonason. They were together until her death.\r\n \r\nHe worked hard at our family door company in Southern California, providing a wonderful life for our family.\r\n \r\nTom was a veteran of the Korean War as an artillery gunner. He was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, and UN Service Medal (Korea).\r\n \r\nTom is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Kensing and Randy Kensing; granddaughters, Jessica A. Ross and Kristal D. Stewart; his brother, David Ives and Patricia Ives; sister, Charlotte Shipley; and numerous nephews and nieces.\r\n \r\nThere will be a memorial service at the Elks Lodge on Junction Highway in Kerrville at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2015.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, please make donations to Peterson Hospice.\r\n
