Timothy Burl Reed

Timothy Burl Reed, 74, of Ingram passed away on October 11, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to David Burl Reed and Allie May Belcher Reed on January 16, 1951. He married Bonnie Brickley on April 6, 1974, in Security, Colorado. The two enjoyed 51 years of marriage together.

Tim graduated from Lampasas High School in Lampasas, Texas. He served four years in the Air Force as Security Police in Colorado Springs, Colorado. For many years, he worked as a steel fabricator in Houston, Channelview and Center Point, TX building equipment for offshore oil rigs. He also worked in Glen Rose, TX at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant.

Tim loved to hunt, especially bow hunting. Anytime he got the chance, he was out hunting. He also loved to fish, and tinker around the house. One of his greatest enjoyments was to help and teach his children and grandchildren. He always had so much knowledge of how to make something work and he loved to show his children.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents, David Burl and Allie Reed, his brother Mike Reed and brother-in-law Daniel Griffin.

Tim is survived by his wife Bonnie, daughters Stacey Kensing (Kyle), Cheryl Reed, son Ethan Reed, grandchildren Shay Bluemel and Keland Kensing, brother Tommy Reed (Carolyn), sisters Jo Blakley (Sandy), Sherri Reed, Nancy Griffin and sister-in-law Liz Reed, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held October 20, 2025, at 10:00 am, followed by funeral services at 11:00 am, located at Bandera Funeral Chapel in Bandera, Texas. Burial will follow at Oak Rest Cemetery in Medina, Texas.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Peterson Health ICU of Kerrville and the MICU of the Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
