Victoriano Resendiz Bazaldua, fondly known as “Tony” age 89 of Utopia, Texas ended his earthly journey on February 14, 2026 in Bandera, Texas. He was born in Mexico on November 8, 1936. Tony was a quiet man, never married, no children. He is survived by a number of close friends who will miss him dearly.
Tony came to the United States as a teenager and became a permanent residence. He worked as a Ranch Manager for a 4000-acre Ranch. Tony lived on a portion of that ranch until April, 2025. Through the years Tony shared his work experiences and life lessons with many. He was able to fix antique equipment using parts he made from scraps. Before retiring, he mentioned he rode two horses a day and rarely took a day off except Christmas Day. Victoriano loved his animals, the outdoors, laughter and a good campfire.
When asked if Tony was a believer in Christ, his response, “Yes, Jesus is Number One.” May we find comfort knowing he is celebrating with Our Heavenly Father.
A visitation will be at 9:30 am prior to the Service. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Bandera Funeral Chapel, 1214 Mulberry Street., Bandera, Texas 78003. Mark Caronna will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Bandera Cemetery.
We would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice, the many doctors and caregivers that helped us on this journey. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to a charity of your choice.
Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Bandera Funeral Chapel.
