William Markley

William H. (Bill) Markley Sr., 81, of Kerrville, TX, passed away on December 26th, 2015 in Kerrville. He was born in Rock Island, IL to William R. Markley and Grace Gilbert on February 28th, 1934. He married Enid K. Lindsay on April 2nd, 1955 in Taylor Ridge, IL.\r\n \r\nHe was a veteran of the Korean War and served for 20 years in the United States Navy attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer and retired in 1972. He worked at KartridgePak in Davenport, IA before retiring in 1993.\r\n \r\nBill is preceded in death by his wife Kathy; brothers, Ted and Wayne; and sisters, Betty and Joyce.\r\n \r\nBill is survived by sons, William H. Markley Jr. and wife Marcia of Pittsburgh, PA and Bruce Markley and wife Siony of Corpus Christi, TX; daughter, Nadine Pagel of Kerrville, TX; sister, Linda Ottoson of Aledo, IL; grandsons, Ross and Ryan Markley of Corpus Christi, TX and Brenden Pagel of Kerrville, TX.\r\n \r\nA memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson St. Kerrville, TX 78028. \r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n
